KPHA has been influencing policies and setting priorities in public health for Kansas since 1920.
Throughout our history, we have been at the forefront of numerous efforts to prevent disease and promote health.
The Kansas Public Health Association (KPHA) is the oldest and largest organization of public health professionals in the state, representing more than 800 members from over 50 occupations and organizations.
The Kansas Public Health Association (KPHA) unites researchers, healthcare providers, administrators, educators, community organizers, and other health professionals in a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment for professional exchange, learning, and collaboration.
KPHA is dedicated to promoting health equity and addressing a wide range of issues that impact personal and environmental health. These include advocating for federal and state funding for health programs, supporting pollution control initiatives, developing policies and programs to combat chronic and infectious diseases, promoting a smoke-free society, and advancing professional education in public health.
