2020 Virtual Poster Presentations
The Kansas Public Health Association would like to invite you to submit your work to our 2020 Virtual Poster Presentations.
Like many activities, our annual conference has been canceled due to COVID-19, but KPHA is committed to providing opportunities for our members to learn and share.
With the Virtual option, you can share your work with colleagues and participate in a scholarly activity without the expense of travel.
Regular membership is only $75 per year and $20 for student membership. In addition to other member benefits, you can submit your Virtual Poster Presentation for online viewing.
How to Submit a Virtual Poster Presentation
More about the Virtual Poster Presentations:
1. We encourage a simplistic approach (i.e. “We did a study, here is what we found.”). It is not necessary to include methodology.
2. Submit only their “product,” a set of no more than five slides OR a poster image. An abstract is not necessary but optional. All submissions can be emailed to Natalie at natalie@abcommunities.com by November 13th, 2020.
3. If you would like to do a recorded presentation, that is an option and easy to do. Our staff team member Natalie will set up a time for a Zoom session and record the presentation. The recording can also be shared on the KPHA website.
4. All Presentations (along with any optional abstracts and recordings) will be on a page of the KPHA website.
5. Presentations will be peer-reviewed. Two prizes will be awarded and these posters will be presented live during KPHA’s Virtual Annual Meeting on November 19th.
If you have any questions, please contact Natalie at natalie@abcommunities.com.
We hope to see your submissions soon. And don’t forget to register for the Annual Meeting on November 19th, featuring Keynote speaker Dr. Lee Norman, Secretary of KDHE.
