Join the Crumbine Club!

The Crumbine Club is an opportunity to support your Kansas Public Health Association beyond your dues. In last year’s membership survey, the results showed that the role of advocacy was very important. Your support can help keep our organization strong and help others realize that KPHA is the Voice for Public Health in Kansas. Join now by making an annual donation of at least $35 or more to the association. We are especially encouraging those members whose dues are paid by their employers to contribute at least half of what your dues would be if you paid them yourself. Please be generous.

Become a Public Health Philanthropist!

According to published reports, 50% of the more than two million Americans who pass away each year do not have valid wills, or designate charities to which they would like to donate funds. Surprisingly, people procrastinate doing something as vitally important as writing a will, or designating memorials to achieve their charitable dreams.

Making a provision for the Kansas Public Health Association (KPHA) in your will or estate plan is one of the simplest ways to create a planned gift. Your gift decision demonstrates your abiding commitment to Public Health's mission. It also enables you to extend your sentiments beyond the span of your own lifetime.

A bequest to KPHA can be included when drafting a will, or by adding a codicil to an existing will. Similarly, a gift provision for KPHA can be added to a living trust.

Gifts of unrestricted funds are the most helpful, or you may designate your gift for a specific purpose. All gifts are greatly valued. They will be managed with careful attention to the donors' wishes through good stewardship.

The following sample language may help you and your attorney when drawing up a general bequest:

I give ______ dollars($_____) to the Kansas Public Health Association, a Kansas non-profit corporation, PO Box 67085, Topeka, Kansas, 66667 (Federal Tax I.D. #48-0764023) to be used for general purposes.

KPHA is pleased to discuss with you or your attorney ways to include the Association in your estate plans.
